Established by Amber Waterstone in 2022, HOUSEOFWATERSTONE is an independent Australian made-to-order womenswear label, designed, developed, and crafted in Melbourne, Australia. HOUSEOFWATERSTONE embodies a balance of classic tailoring and feminine elegance, infused with a contemporary sensibility. The brand explores romantic and structured silhouettes through the use of considered fabrics and a refined, timeless colour palette, drawing inspiration from 1950s iconography and enduring luxury.
Amber’s creative influences span art and literature from the past through to the present, with a focus on the future and contemporary design. HOUSEOFWATERSTONE creativity is a constant expanse; each piece is carefully created with the purpose of adorning her customers, some fabrics are uniquely designed and manufactured specifically for each piece with the intention of adorning the wearer, offering both beauty and longevity.
Creative Director and Founder, Amber Waterstone designs with a deep appreciation for the past and present, creating garments that feel timeless, meaningful, and made to be cherished. Her work is inspired by iconic women of history and cinema, with each piece carrying a sense of story, femininity, and quiet strength.
Much of Amber’s inspiration comes from her grandmother and great aunt, who owned a dressmaking boutique in Richmond during the 1950s. This personal connection to craft and tradition, combined with influences
from classic films featuring Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, and Audrey Hepburn, continues to shape the romantic yet refined essence of House of Waterstone.
Amber grew a love for beauty in the smallest details. What began as a creative escape has become a lifelong pursuit designing clothing that allows women to feel confident, graceful, and deeply themselves.
Each House of Waterstone piece reflects this journey, thoughtfully designed to honour the wearer while celebrating craftsmanship, history, and modern femininity.
OUR PROCESS: MADE TO ORDER
With a commitment to responsible production, HOUSEOFWATERSTONE operates on a made-to-order basis, crafting a limited number of garments for each style.
This considered approach allows for reduced waste, ethical practices, and attention to detail in every piece created. Allow a 10 - 20 day waiting period after the order has been placed when dispatched you will be informed via email, you can also contact us by email for updates on an order if you have further enquiries.

By producing only what is ordered, we significantly reduce excess inventory and unnecessary waste. Once an order is placed, a dedicated production timeframe is assigned, allowing our team to focus entirely on the careful creation of each garment. This approach ensures consistent quality control and the attention to detail required to produce every piece to the highest standard.
Each order is crafted with intention, patience, and care allowing us to work thoughtfully.
We are continuously evolving our processes, materials, and methods to minimise our environmental impact. As part of this commitment, every order is shipped in a reusable, secured sleeve and protective satchel, both designed to be 100% recyclable.
